The International Convention on Rehabilitation Engineering and Assistive Technology (i-CREATe) is the largest annual rehabilitation engineering conference in Asia (the second largest in the world). The convention is the annual academic conference of CREATe Asia. It has become the major academic communication platform for technical exchanges to share ideas, Global Student Innovation Challenge(gSIC), and exhibition featuring innovative technology, equipment, applications, techniques, and materials applied in the field of Assistive and Rehabilitation Technology.
The 17 International Convention on Rehabilitation Engineering and Assistive Technology (i-CREATe 2024) will be held in Shanghai from 23rd to 26th August 2024. Professor Hongliu Yu from USST will be the CREATe-Asia and i-CREATe's general chair. Her Royal Highness Princess Sirindhorn of the Kingdom of Thailand will come to Shanghai and attend the conference in person.
During this same time-frame, the first World Rehabilitation Robot Convention (WRRC) will be convened in collaboration. WRRC stands as the premier international summit dedicated to the field of rehabilitation robotics. It assembles leading experts from the global realms of technology, industry, investment, and politics with the shared objective of collectively advancing the evolution of rehabilitation robot technology and its associated industry. Through this platform, its overarching mission is to foster the convergence of global rehabilitation robot technology, talent, and financial support within the local industry, thus establishing a worldwide focal point for scholarly exchange and industrial growth within the intelligent rehabilitation sector.
We are honored to host the 17 International Convention on Rehabilitation Engineering and Assistive Technology (i-CREATe 2024) & the 1st World Rehabilitation Robot Convention (WRRC 2024).Our shared commitment to advancing assistive technologies underscores the significance of our collective efforts in enhancing the quality of life for the elderly and individuals with disabilities. This convention serves as a crucial platform for not only acknowledging the strides we have made but also for addressing the current challenges and charting the course for future developments in rehabilitation engineering and technology.
In 2015, the Coalition of Rehabilitation Engineering and Technology, Asia (CREATe Asia) was formally established in Singapore, witnessed by Honorable Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn. It is expected that CREATe Asia will lead the industry of assistive products to a new historic era and stage. The year of 2024 will be the 9th year after the founding of CRAETe Asia, and the 3rd time comes to Shanghai after i-CREATe 2010 and i-CREATe 2018 being successfully held in Shanghai. We welcome our friends and colleagues to join the convention in shanghai again.
